The Kapok tree is native to tropical rainforests and inspires the name of this ceramic pendant light. Resembling an umbrella shade, the Kapok pendant light’s design relates subtly to its namesake. The daring Black Clay colour finish brings a new world beauty to this ceramic and brass pendant light. Contrasting attractively with the detailed crackled under shade, the purity of the dark finish is a fitting tribute to the organic materials used to create this raw lighting design. On the inside of the ceramic shade a crackled effect can be appreciated that brings a shabby chic twist to the design. This cracked impression is achieved by imprinting the individual lines onto the shade by hand and then placing the pendant in the kiln for a specific amount of time. Made from organic clay, the Kapok ceramic pendant light is modern in style and is sure to rejuvenate interior spaces. The Kapok pendant light is ideal for hanging above kitchen islands and breakfast bars with an open shade that will disperse light across workspaces.
